About KRCA
The Kentucky Roofing Contractors Association (KRCA) was founded in 1964 to increase the professionalism of the roofing industry
in Kentucky and is an affiliate of the National Roofing Contractors Association. KRCA has member contractors throughout the
commonwealth and provides monthly meetings and activities to educate and develop the roofing profession. These include the areas
of business, finance, legal issues, insurance, safety, and the latest innovations and trends in our industry.
With certification, KRCA's mission is to give the public a dependable way to differentiate between a fly-by-night contractor
and an established contractor with a commitment to quality, safety and honesty. KRCA verifies that certified contractors are
insured, bonded, committed to the KRCA Code of Ethics and participating in continuing education.
Although there is no licensing or "roofing police" to inspect all contractors' work, using a KRCA Certified Contractor is a good
way to ensure that your roofing contractor complies with these important criteria. KRCA works closely with the Better Business
Bureau and its consumer complaint procedure and mediation and arbitration services. Plus, the $10,000 judgment bond provides a
resource to fall back on in case something doesn't get resolved while working with a KRCA Certified Contractor. Without it, you
have no recourse if an unprofessional contractor is here today and gone tomorrow.
