Jobless rates fall in 95 Kentucky counties
Unemployment rates dropped in 95 Kentucky counties from September 2009 to September 2010, according to www.kentucky.com.
Woodford County had the lowest unemployment rate at 7 percent, followed by Fayette, Oldham and Webster counties at 7.8 percent; Calloway County at 7.9 percent; and Carlisle, Franklin and Rowan counties at 8.1 percent.
Magoffin County had the highest unemployment rate at 18.7 percent, followed by Jackson County at 16 percent; Menifee County at 15.5 percent; McCreary County at 13.8 percent; and Grayson and Powell counties at 13.5 percent.
Unemployment statistics do not include unemployed Kentucky residents who have not looked for employment during the past four weeks.
