Jobless rates fall in 93 Kentucky counties

Unemployment rates dropped in 93 of Kentucky's 120 counties from May 2009 to May 2010, according to www.kentucky.com.

Fayette County had the lowest unemployment rate at 7.7 percent, followed by Woodford County at 7.8 percent; Oldham County at 8 percent; Calloway County at 8.1 percent; and Franklin County at 8.3 percent.

Magoffin County had the highest jobless rate at 19.1 percent, followed by Jackson County at 17.4 percent; Menifee County at 17 percent; Metcalfe County at 14.8 percent; and Powell County at 14.4 percent.
